Depicting a sitting Lady on the lookout with her two Greyhounds. Cold painted Spelter sculptures mounted on marble and onyx clock case. A highly collectible piece of the finest quality. The sculpture was mentioned in the book: Dictionnaire illustré des sculptures animaliers & fondeurs de lantiquité à nos jours by Jean Charles Hachet. Rarely available for sale as a clock. An original, French, 8-day striking movement has recently been serviced and it is in a good working condition. The all piece is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age. It comes with an original pair of clock garnitures. Uriano or Ugo Cipriani. Italian sculptor born in Florencia, Italy, 13th August 1897, died in Paris in June 1960. Studied at the famous Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. He followed in his Fathers footsteps as he too was a sculptor.
